New Delhi: A 17-year-old boy was allegedly murdered by her girlfriend’s brother and his friends in southeast Delhi’s Molarband on Sunday evening. The brother, also a minor, was allegedly opposed to the relationship. Police have apprehended three of the accused, including the brother.Around 8pm, police were informed about the incident that took place outside a medical store in Gali No. 4 on 40-Foot Road. “Preliminary inquiry revealed that the teenager, a resident of Molarband Extension, was called to the spot by the girl’s brother. He reached the location with three friends. An argument broke out and the boy was stabbed in the chest and abdomen with a sharp-edged weapon,” an officer said. The accused then fled.The injured boy was rushed to AIIMS Trauma Centre by residents, but succumbed to injuries. His father said he received a phone call that his son had an accident. “When I reached the hospital, I found that he had suffered multiple stab wounds. All I know is that he left home on a motorcycle with his friends, saying they were going to a nearby petrol pump to refill fuel,” he said.Demanding justice for his son, the man said, “I have no idea who the accused are. My son was a Class XII student at a govt school, and there was never any complaint about his involvement in any such matter, either from the school or elsewhere.”A case has been registered under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at Badarpur police station. Police are also trying to ascertain if more people were involved in the alleged attack.Earlier in June, two juveniles were apprehended for allegedly stabbing a 17-year-old boy to death in northeast Delhi’s Seelampur following an altercation over a trivial issue. In Feb, a neighbourhood cricket game turned deadly in west Delhi’s Tilak Nagar after a 15-year-old boy allegedly had his neck broken in a violent confrontation with three juveniles.
