BJP national president Nitin Nabin

Hyderabad: On Telangana Formation Day, BJP national chief Nitin Nabin struck a combative note in Delhi, declaring that the state “did not get the govt it deserved.” He accused the Congress of perpetuating corruption, saying, one corrupt person left and another corrupt person took their place.”Nabin argued that the original dream of the Telangana statehood movement—building a distinct development model—remains unfulfilled. He alleged the state had been reduced to “merely an ATM” and claimed its resources were being “displayed in the court of Congress.”Reaffirming the BJP’s commitment, he said the party would continue its struggle to make Telangana prosperous and align its growth with the vision of a “truly developed state.” He recalled the BJP’s early support for Telangana statehood, citing the 1997 Kakinada national convention where the party passed a resolution backing a separate Telangana as a pledge to its development, culture, and heritage.Linking Telangana’s future to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Viksit Bharat 2047” vision, Nabin stressed that building a developed India by 2047 required “completely and prosperously” developing Telangana. He congratulated the state’s four crore people on the occasion and reiterated the BJP’s commitment to their progress.
