Shimla: Himachal Pradesh BJP on Wednesday constituted two state-level panels — a chargesheet committee and a mass agitation committee — to highlight the alleged failures of the Congress govt and spearhead a statewide campaign against the party, accusing it of failing to deliver on its promises after three-and-a-half years in office.BJP state president Dr Rajeev Bindal alleged the govt had stalled development and pushed the state into economic and administrative difficulties. The chargesheet committee, comprising leader of opposition Jairam Thakur and MPs Anurag Thakur, Sikander Kumar, and Harsh Mahajan besides other party leaders, will prepare a detailed report on the govt’s alleged corruption, anti-people policies, and unfulfilled commitments. The mass agitation committee, which includes senior BJP leaders, MPs, MLAs and party office-bearers, has been tasked with planning public awareness campaigns, protests, demonstrations and outreach programmes across the state. The BJP state president said the party’s objective is to protect the interests of Himachal Pradesh, ensure development and good governance, and hold the Congress govt accountable for its decisions. He described the initiative as a public campaign aimed at restoring people’s confidence in governance.
