Ahmedabad: In a major boost to Ahmedabad’s ambition of becoming a global technology and services hub, several multinational companies are set to establish operations at Million Minds IT Park near Vaishnodevi Junction, inaugurated on Sunday by Union home minister Amit Shah.Companies planning to set up base at the park include Singapore-headquartered cloud consulting firm Searce, Germany-origin digital transformation company Valtech, US-based accounting and advisory firm Withum, along with IBM, TCS, Kashiv Biosciences, DevX and APSER Lifesciences. Officials said 8 lakh sq ft of the 1.3 million sq ft first phase has already been leased.The project is being positioned as a large integrated campus aimed at attracting multinational corporations, Global Capability Centres (GCCs), IT and ITeS firms, and advanced engineering companies seeking globally compliant office infrastructure.Shekhar Patel, managing director of Ganesh Housing Corporation Ltd, said the project is designed to meet the requirements of large global occupiers. “We see this development playing a defining role in attracting leading global firms to Ahmedabad and accelerating the city’s transition into a globally competitive service-sector economy,” he said.The company plans to invest around Rs 15,000 crore in the project through internal accruals and bank borrowings. It also plans to set up a 2MW data centre at the tech park with an investment of around Rs 150 crore to cater to growing demand from IT and AI companies expected to set up operations in the IT park.
