Varanasi: Banaras Hindu University will host its 106th convocation for the academic session 2025–26 on Dec 12 at Swatantrata Bhawan.Degrees will be awarded to successful students of undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programmes. Gold medals will also be presented to meritorious students from various faculties and institutes.According to a BHU spokesperson, 11 sub-committees have been formed to ensure the smooth conduct of the ceremony. Prof. G. P. Singh, additional controller of examinations-II, has been appointed coordinator for the convocation arrangements.Following the main ceremony at Swatantrata Bhawan, faculties and institutes will organise degree distribution events, where students will receive their degrees and medals.The sub-committees will oversee various responsibilities related to the convocation.
