Varanasi: A junior resident of Surgery department of Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), BHU, Dr Sai Satya (25), died on Sunday after remaining on ventilator support for the past three and a half months..She had been on ventilator support in BHU’s Super Speciality Block.A native of Samastipur in Bihar, Dr Sai Satya lived in a rented house behind the trauma centre in Samneghat area of Varanasi. On March 13, she allegedly took an overdose of insulin, after which her condition became extremely critical. She was admitted to the emergency of BHU Hospital. When her condition did not improve, she was shifted to the ICU of the Super Speciality Block and kept on ventilator, where a team of expert doctors was continuously monitoring her.However, there was no significant improvement in her health and she breathed her last on Sunday.
