Ahmedabad: A 48-year-old man wanted in an assault case registered in 2013 was arrested from Pali in Rajasthan after evading arrest for 13 years, police said.The accused, identified as Jaswant Devda, was wanted in a case registered at Shahibaug police station under IPC for assault.According to police, Devda had been living in Ahmedabad in a locality behind Anil Starch Mill but left the city after the case was registered. He settled in Marwar Junction in Pali district.Police said a Zone-3 LCB team was working on information about absconding accused when it received specific information about Devda’s whereabouts. The team verified his identity and traced him to Pali, from where he was apprehended on Sunday. Devda was handed over to Shahibaug police.
