Arvind targets Revanth, KTR over Delhi visit, fee reimbursement dues

Hyderabad: BJP MP Dharmapuri Arvind on Tuesday targeted chief minister A Revanth Reddy and BRS working president KT Rama Rao for shedding ‘crocodile tears’ over Gen Z while failing to address issues affecting young people. Arvind sarcastically suggested that the chief minister induct Congress MLAs M Rohit and M Yashaswini Reddy into the cabinet as representatives of Gen Z.Addressing a press conference in Delhi, he lambasted both leaders over their visit to the national capital, alleging that both had failed Telangana’s youth and students by neglecting higher education and employment. The Nizamabad MP claimed that both the Congress and the previous BRS govt had weakened the fee reimbursement scheme, leaving nearly 20 lakh students in the lurch and facing an uncertain future due to pending fee dues. “Ironically, Revanth is daydreaming of Rahul Gandhi becoming prime minister, and he is thinking Gen Z will decide the education minister then”The BJP MP also accused the two leaders of presiding over policies that had pushed several private colleges to the brink of closure because of mounting financial stress. He claimed Telangana was among the two states with the highest unemployment rates in the country and took a swipe at both parties for allegedly failing to issue a job calendar for nearly 13 years.Alleging that the previous BRS govt had burdened the state with debt through projects such as Kaleshwaram and Mission Bhagiratha, Arvind claimed that public money was misused and accused the K Chandrasekhar Rao family of amassing wealth through the projects.
