Lucknow: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday met Ragini, the 7-year-old physically challenged girl from Ballia, and handed financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh to her family to assist with her medical treatment.Ragini had recently made headlines after her heartwarming video went viral, in which she was seen hopping her way to school as one of her legs was rendered virtually lifeless from the knee down in an accident that took place when she was six months old. The video showed her unwavering determination to attend her classes after hopping to school on one leg for 400 m daily.Interacting with Ragini’s parents, Akhilesh assured the family that the Samajwadi Party would take care of her complete education expenses. He also stated that proper treatment facilities would be arranged for her at KGMU.
