Aizawl: The RBI’s Aizawl office on Friday organised an MSME Townhall at Thakthing Multipurpose Hall, bringing together entrepreneurs, bankers, govt officials and development institutions to discuss ways to improve access to institutional finance for small businesses in Mizoram.RBI Aizawl general manager-in-charge T Lhungdim said MSMEs played a key role in job creation, entrepreneurship and balanced economic growth, stressing on the need to expand formal credit access and strengthen the state’s MSME ecosystem.Aizawl deputy commissioner Lalhriatpuia, commerce and industries additional director Lalhmunsiama, Nabard general manager-in-charge Bhaskar Manta, Mizoram Rural Bank chairperson Sheryl L Vanchhong and MSME development and facilitation office assistant director Harshad Kuware were among those who addressed the gathering.
