Ahmedabad: A 35-year-old gym director alleged that an unidentified woman stole his wallet containing Rs 15,000 in cash and an American Express credit card from his bag at a Starbucks outlet in Navrangpura on Saturday afternoon. The stolen card was later allegedly used for purchases worth Rs 27,000 at various outlets.According to the complaint, the man had visited the Starbucks near Law Garden around 3pm after inspecting locations for a new gym. At about 4pm, he received a phone call and stepped outside the cafe to attend it.After returning, he finished his tea, paid the bill online and picked up his bag before heading to his car. It was then that he discovered his wallet was missing.He immediately returned to the cafe and informed the manager, following which CCTV footage was reviewed.The complainant alleged that the footage showed a heavily built woman approaching his table, placing her bag beside his, going to the washroom and then returning. While he was away, she allegedly opened his bag and stole the wallet.
