Ahmedabad: A 26-year-old owner of a medical and surgical store was allegedly assaulted by two men following a road rage case in Keshavbag on Friday night, police said.The complainant stated that at 10.15pm when he was travelling in his car and had stopped at the Keshavbag traffic signal, a car approached from behind, following which its driver confronted him over his driving.According to the complaint, the driver got out of the vehicle, allegedly abused him, and twisted the left-side mirror of his car. The accused then allegedly opened the car door and tried to enter the vehicle, prompting the complainant to step out.The accused then turned violent and repeatedly punched him on the face. He further claimed that the man struck him on the nose with a metal object, causing injuries.He said another occupant of the car joined the attack and that both men kicked and punched him, leaving him injured.The commotion drew the attention of passersby, who intervened and rescued the complainant. The complainant then contacted the emergency helpline, after which police arrived, and he was shifted to a private hospital in an ambulance.The two accused fled the scene in their vehicle after the assault.
