Ahmedabad: The district education officer (DEO), Ahmedabad City, on Monday directed non-govt aided secondary and higher secondary schools that have not yet submitted details of vacant teaching posts to do so by noon on Tuesday, warning that information received after the deadline will not be considered.The directive follows an earlier communication issued on July 9 and instructions from the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA). The exercise is part of the ongoing recruitment process for knowledge assistants in govt-aided secondary and higher secondary schools.The DEO said vacancy details already submitted by schools in hard and soft copies have been uploaded to the online recruitment portal and processed. Schools that have not yet furnished the information have been asked to submit a hard copy to the secondary branch and send a soft copy to the designated mobile number and their beat group.The office clarified that schools whose vacancy details already appear correctly in the prescribed Excel sheet need not submit the information again. Education inspectors and assistant education inspectors have been asked to verify the vacancy data submitted by schools under their jurisdiction.
