Ahmedabad: Union home and cooperation minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Gujarat on Aug 27, during which he will address public grievances and review major infrastructure projects in the state. Apart from attending a public function in Amreli, Shah will chair a series of high-level meetings in the Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar region.The review meetings will focus on infrastructure development and logistical preparations related to the proposed Olympic and Commonwealth Games, with officials expected to present progress reports on key projects and planning initiatives.Ahead of Rakshabandhan, Shah will also hold a Lok Darbar in the Ambli-Bopal area to hear public grievances directly from residents. Civic issues affecting local communities are expected to be taken up during the interaction.The grievance hearing is likely to focus on the recurring waterlogging problems in Bopal and Ghuma, which witnessed severe flooding during the recent monsoon. Residents of several localities faced significant inconvenience as heavy rain inundated roads and residential pockets.
