MUMBAI: Another clip of three medical students speaking about male students specifically dissecting female cadavers has surfaced online, days after Mumbai MBBS student Sejal Pawar faced backlash over her remarks on cadavers.In the clip, the three students were seen making jokes around cadavers and how they cut them.Earlier this month., Pawar, a student of KEM Hospital and Seth G S Medical College, went viral. In the video, she was seen making remarks about male cadavers and comparing the sizes of their genitalia during a comedy show.The comments triggered outrage, with several people questioning the treatment of deceased bodies used for medical education.Following the controversy, KEM Hospital and Seth G S Medical College initiated an inquiry and placed Pawar on compulsory leave for 15 days.A statement from the office of the Dean of Seth G S Medical College and KEM Hospital said, “Pawar has been placed on compulsory leave for a period of 15 days, with effect from June 13, pending detailed inquiry and further orders. At 10.30 am today, she was entrusted to the care and supervision of her parents/guardians during the said period.”The institute said Pawar had been asked to cooperate with the inquiry and remain available whenever required.A five-member inquiry committee has been proposed to examine the facts, context, impact and social media circulation of the videos.
