Thane: Daily trekking on Yeoor Hills prompted Thane girl Akshara Goel to set her sights on climbing the Everest once her ICSE Class 10 results were released. She will celebrate her academic success at the Base Camp of Mount Everest on May 17.Goel, a student of Smt Sulochanadevi Singhania School, Thane, scored 98.8% in her board. Other than academics, she regularly practised yoga while also preparing for her Everest quest.Other than trekking on Yeoor Hills every day, she began climbing her 16-storey building months ago and continued even during the board exams. She is ready to launch her Everest campaign next week with her parents and elder sister, who had scored 99% in her Class 9 and 99.25% in Class 12..Akshara is set to undertake one of the most epic treks in the world — the Everest Base Camp (EBC) — with her family, where she will represent a learning platform in an extraordinary world record attempt — conducting a live online class from one of the highest altitudes in the world. The initiative aims to push the boundaries of learning and demonstrate how education can extend beyond conventional classroom settings.“Throughout the year, even during the board exams, I made sure to maintain a balance.
