Gurgaon: An illegal construction belonging to a gangster was demolished in Naharpur Rupa on Friday. Krishan (31), who was involved in 11 criminal cases, has been convicted in three of them. The demolition of the house on Friday was carried out by the crime branch in coordination with the departments concerned. The action comes three days after the house of jailed gangster Kaushal Chaudhary was razed. The drive is part of a crackdown on properties allegedly linked to criminals and organised crime.Police said the illegal construction at Naharpur Rupa was identified on the basis of intelligence inputs. The land was cleared and restored to its original condition. “We will continue to carry out actions against land mafias, habitual offenders and their illegal construction network,” police spokesperson Sandeep Turan said.Krishan had been arrested by the Sector 39 crime branch team on July 6, 2025 from Naharpur Rupa in connection with an Arms Act case registered at Sadar police station. Two country-made pistols had been recovered. According to sources, Krishan’s criminal history includes an attempted murder and Arms Act case at Sadar police station in which he was convicted. He was also convicted in an Arms Act case registered at Rajendra Park police station for assaulting a public servant in 2019 and in a murder case registered at Badshahpur police station in the same year.On Tuesday, police, while clearing encroachment from govt land in Naharpur Rupa, demolished the house of Chaudhary, against whom a case was registered for the Aug 2021 murder of Youth Akali Dal leader Vicky Middukhera in Mohali. Vicky’s murder was allegedly linked to the killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala by the Lawrence Bishnoi-Goldy Brar gang the following year. Chaudhary was also named in connection with the March 2022 killing of international kabaddi player Sandeep Nangal Ambian during a kabaddi match. The killing was linked to the wider gang rivalry involving Kaushal Chaudhary-Bambiha gangs.
