Advise on AI integration, CM asks ex-RBI guv

Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday urged former RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan to make recommendations and also suggestions regarding the formation of a committee to examine the integration of AI into the curricula of school, higher, technical and medical education in the state.The former RBI Governor remarked that if AI is utilised in a proper and systematic manner, it will prove beneficial for everyone. He further suggested that adopting an industrial policy similar to Tamil Nadu could help attract greater investments.Raghuram Rajan also observed that data centres entail significant consumption of both electricity and water. On this occasion, he stated that he intends to visit Hyderabad within the next three to four months. During a video conference with Raghuram Rajan, deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka and IT and industries minister D Sridhar Babu, CM Revanth discussed the future development plans of Telangana and also briefed about the establishment of the Skills University and Advanced Training Centers (ATCs) to facilitate creation of middle-level employment opportunities.Raghuram Rajan told the CM that enhancing the skills among the job seekers would provide more employment opportunities to them, and that the establishment of new industries and investments flow depends significantly on the govt’s “ease of doing business” policies.He underscored the need to provide encouragement to the startups, which would yield even more beneficial results, and to address issue of malnutrition.
