HISAR: Actor and filmmaker Yashpal Sharma’s brother, Rajesh Kumar, a district-level official with the Jal Sewa Mandal, was arrested by the Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday for allegedly accepting a Rs 3,000 bribe.According to the ACB, Kumar had allegedly demanded the money from a complainant in lieu of preparing a COO related to canal water irrigation arrangements for an agricultural land colony near the Rajgarh-Chandigarh highway.After verifying the complaint, the ACB’s Hisar team laid a trap in the presence of independent witnesses. Kumar was allegedly caught accepting the Rs 3,000 bribe. A case under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, has been registered, and further investigation is underway.Yashpal, known for his work in Bollywood as well as Haryanvi cinema, was also associated with the production of the acclaimed film Dada Lakhmi.
