Gurgaon: Authorities have been urged to conduct an immediate joint inspection and demarcation of around 9.6 acres of land in Fazilpur Jharsa, Sectors 71 and 73, following allegations of encroachment and unauthorised construction.The representation claims that approximately 5-6 acres have been encroached upon, with residential developments, warehouses, commercial units and other structures allegedly coming up on the land.It seeks coordinated action by GMDA, MCG, DTP (enforcement) and revenue authorities, including stopping ongoing unauthorised construction and initiating statutory proceedings wherever violations are established.The representation invokes several Supreme Court orders in Loganathan v State of Tamil Nadu & Ors., including orders passed on March 25, May 20, July 9 and Aug 4, 2026. It states that the apex court has stressed effective enforcement against unauthorised construction and misuse of land and that action should be taken on the ground rather than being limited to surveys or compilation of violations.It further refers to Supreme Court’s Aug 4 order and the assurances recorded from senior Haryana officials. According to the representation, MCG commissioner assured the court that orders concerning building by-law violations and demolition of unauthorised constructions would be taken to their logical conclusion.The representation also states that GMDA CEO assured Supreme Court that encroachments falling within GMDA’s jurisdiction would be removed within two weeks from the date of the order.The applicant has also requested appointment of a senior officer as a nodal officer to coordinate action among the departments.The representation seeks immediate stoppage of any ongoing unauthorised construction, initiation of statutory proceedings against identified encroachments and unauthorised structures, and sealing, demolition or removal wherever legally warranted. It has also sought a preliminary action taken report within seven days of receipt of the representation.The applicant has offered to provide the authorities with revenue records, site plans, Google Maps superimposition, photographs and other material for inspection and enforcement.The representation ultimately seeks a time-bound enforcement exercise, restoration and protection of the affected land and preventive measures against further encroachment. A senior enforcement team official said the representation will be examined and action will be taken as per norms.
