Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab media in charge Baltej Pannu on Monday linked the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) recent activity in Punjab, including its search at the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA), to the upcoming elections, alleging that the agency had increasingly become a political tool of the BJP.The ED conducted searches at GMADA’s office in Mohali and other locations in Punjab and Delhi on Tuesday as part of a money-laundering probe.Pannu said the agency had been visiting Punjab for the past few weeks and that “only a few months” remained before the elections.“The ED’s visits have been continuing for the past few weeks, with only a few months left for the elections. It means that the election process is going well because these days, the ED is a wing of the BJP,” he said.He also alleged that ED activity had become an indicator of elections. “Wherever elections are going to be held, the ED goes there first. Whenever the ED becomes active, everyone knows that elections are going to be held there soon,” Pannu said.
