New Delhi: Actor Jacqueline Fernandez on Tuesday withdrew her plea to turn approver in Rs 200-crore money laundering case involving alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, a day after Enforcement Directorate opposed the move before a Delhi court.The ED, which has named Fernandez as a co-accused for allegedly enjoying the “proceeds of crime” received as gifts from Sukesh, argued that she continued to “enjoy the proceeds of crime for herself and her family members.” The agency further alleged she remained in “regular and sustained contact” with Sukesh despite knowing his criminal antecedents.
