Jhajjar: The mystery surrounding the discovery of two bodies near a private school in Jhajjar district Monday morning deepened after the police identified the victims as two men from Uttar Pradesh who had recently been working as property dealers in Rajasthan.Investigators suspect the victims were murdered elsewhere before their bodies were dumped near the school. The bodies were found early Monday morning along Gurgaon road, near Sehwag International School, triggering a massive police response. Officials from the local police station, the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA), the Special Staff, and the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) visited the scene after receiving information around 5:30 am.The victims have been identified as Kamil and Ifshad, both natives of UP and aged around 52 years, according to the station house officer (SHO), Paramjit. Their families have since arrived in Jhajjar, identified the bodies, and completed the necessary legal formalities. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, which is scheduled for Tuesday. Following the autopsy, the remains will be handed over to the families, who plan to perform the last rites in UP.The police said preliminary findings indicate that the murders were committed at another location before the bodies were transported and abandoned near Sehwag International School. Investigators recovered a blue plastic drum, an iron wrench, and a pipe from the spot. Tyre marks found near the scene have further strengthened the suspicion that a vehicle was used to dump the bodies.Forensic experts collected evidence from the crime scene, while investigators have begun examining CCTV footage from nearby areas to reconstruct the victims’ final movements and identify those responsible.According to Paramjit, both men previously operated a paying guest (PG) accommodation business in Uttar Pradesh. About a month ago, they sold the business and relocated to Neemrana in Rajasthan, where they entered the real estate sector as property dealers. Ifshad reportedly worked alongside Kamil in the business. The police are also looking into whether any previous enmity, financial dispute, or business rivalry may have led to the killings.Kamil was married and is survived by three sons and three daughters. Ifshad was also married, although police are yet to ascertain details about his immediate family.Based on a complaint lodged by the victims’ relatives, police have registered a murder case and launched an investigation. Authorities are trying to establish where the murders took place, how the victims were brought to Jhajjar, and who was behind the crime.“We have completed all legal formalities. The bodies will be handed over to the families after the post-mortem examination. Multiple teams are working on the case, and we are confident of identifying and arresting those responsible at the earliest,” said the SHO.Police said the investigation was underway, with forensic analysis, CCTV footage, and technical evidence expected to play a crucial role in unravelling the cross-state crime.MSID:: 132217399 413 |
