Bahadurgarh: Two alleged members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang were killed Saturday night in an encounter with Haryana Police Special Task Force (STF) and Delhi Police Special Cell in Bahadurgarh area of Jhajjar district.The suspects, Pravesh of Tibba Danasher and Himanshu of Jakhod Khera in Hisar, were wanted for the June 11 daylight murder of gym trainer Kapil (25), who was riddled with bullets at point-blank range in front of his trainees in Hansi. Both the accused carried a reward of Rs 1 lakh each. According to police, the heavily armed duo was hiding in Bahadurgarh to plan another major strike, when a joint team closed in to apprehend them. Police said the suspects opened fire, triggering a gunfight. Four officers survived direct hits to their bulletproof vests, while one policeman was injured. Both suspects were wounded in the exchange and later died during treatment at a hospital. The injured police officer remains in stable condition. Police recovered sophisticated weapons and incriminating materials from the encounter site. Haryana DGP Ajay Singhal praised the operation, stating it reflects chief minister Nayab Singh Saini’s zero-tolerance policy against organised crime, and vowed that decisive action against gangster networks will continue.
