New Delhi: Coordination by Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) led to the interception of an alleged stalker on Delhi Metro after a distress call was received through the force’s helpline (155655), officials said Sunday.According to CISF, the complaint was first lodged at 7:27 a.m. by the mother of a woman commuter, who informed CISF Operational Control Centre (OCC) that her daughter, a regular passenger on the Noida – Dwarka Metro route, had been repeatedly followed by the same man during her commute.Minutes later, at 7:36 a.m., the woman herself contacted the OCC from Yamuna Bank metro station and provided information about the suspect’s movement. OCC alerted the Shift in-charge and CISF personnel deployed across stations along the route to identify and intercept the individual.Using a photograph shared by the complainant, CISF personnel at Patel Nagar metro station identified the suspect and deboarded him from the train. Delhi Metro Rail Police reached the station and took the man into custody for further legal action.
