Bengaluru: While the state is preparing a comprehensive Coastal–Malnad Karnataka Tourism Policy 2026, the Tourism Minister KJ George directed officials to formulate strategy to attract more international cruise liners to port cities in the city. During the review meeting, Friday, George instructed officials to consult major cruise operators on industry requirements.Emphasis was given to tourism circuits to encourage cruise passengers to spend more time in the state.The policy on the anvil, would include development of Blue-Flag beaches, improvement of cleanliness and safety, stronger tourism infrastructure, and promotion of water sports and adventure activities.
