Times News NetworkBengaluru: Three alleged fans of Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, the main accused in the 2024 Renukaswamy murder case, were arrested on Wednesday on charges of threatening a key witness in an attempt to prevent him from testifying before court.According to police, the three accused, Venu, Suhas, and Puneeth, allegedly intimidated the 49th prosecution witness, who’s from Chitradurga. Investigators said Puneeth managed a fan page named ‘D Company’, while Suhas and Venu are members of a Darshan Fans’ Association in Tumakuru.The witness informed the judge in court he was under pressure not to testify. Following the statement, the court directed police to provide security to the witness. Based on information gathered from the witness, police registered a case and found Suhas had allegedly called the witness under the pretext of holding a discussion.Suhas reportedly drove the witness around in a car and pressured him not to depose in court. When the witness refused to comply, Suhas allegedly threatened him with consequences.The three accused are now in the custody of Kamakshipalya police.
