Hyderabad: Telangana Rakshana Sena (TRS) chief Kalvakuntla Kavitha said there were anomalies in last year’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR), citing differences in voter deletions between the Bodhan and Kodangal assembly constituencies.Speaking to reporters on Monday, Kavitha said they noticed that a total of 7,006 voters who existed in the PDF released post-Special Summary Revision (SSR) in 2025 have gone missing from the Bodhan assembly constituency in the latest Election Commission of India (ECI) data.“When it comes to chief minister Revanth Reddy’s constituency, Kodangal, only 808 votes have been deleted,” she said, pointing out alleged anomalies in the voters’ list and claiming over 33,000 duplicate voters in the Kodangal assembly segment.“Our investigation has revealed that Kodangal currently has over 33,000 duplicate votes. Out of these, 22,433 individuals hold multiple voter registrations within the constituency itself, while over 11,000 are registered both in Kodangal and Sedam, a bordering constituency in Karnataka,” she said.She added that it took seven years to delete a single vote in the case of actor Prakash Raj, who reportedly holds voter registrations across several South Indian states. Yet, within just a year and a half, 7,006 votes have disappeared from a single constituency—Bodhan. “We demand a detailed clarification from the Election Commission,” she said.The TRS president also questioned the unusually high volume of voter profile updates, stating that voter ID modifications are typically rare during non-election years, with very few citizens correcting minor details such as spellings or dates of birth.The former MP said a large number of people originating from Andhra Pradesh and other neighbouring states are also registered to vote in Telangana. Just as there appears to be an influx from Karnataka into Kodangal, voters from Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh also seem to have made their way into the electoral rolls. “We humbly request the ECI to ensure that this cross-border duplication is thoroughly resolved during the current SIR cycle,” she said.
