SIR enumeration in Karnataka to begin June 30Bengaluru: Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls door to door enumeration will being in Karnataka on June 30.The 30-day exercise will be rolled out to 5,54,32,314 electors in the state who are on the election commission’s rolls on June 16.Chief electoral officer Anbu Kumar, briefing mediapersons about the exercise said, “Booth Level Officers will personally visit every household within their assigned polling area and distribute the Enumeration Forms to all electors whose name is present in the Electoral Roll as on June 16.”During the distribution process, two types of colour stickers will be pasted. One purple outlined square shape sticker will indicate that the Enumeration Form has been distributed to the household, while the other red colour round shape sticker will indicate that the house was found locked or closed at the time of the BLO’s visit.“In case the voters are not present in the house, the enumeration form with the BLO’s contact details will be slipped under their door. The red sticker will also have the tentative dates of the next two visits by the BLO,” he said.Booth Level Officers will make at least three visits to households, wherever necessary, for the collection of the duly filled Enumeration Forms, he added.All electors who sign and submit the duly completed Enumeration Form by July 29 will be included in the Draft Electoral Roll, said the official.Facility for filling up of Enumeration Forms will be available on https://voters.eci.gov.in/ and ECINET mobile application from June 30.Young voters who have recently become eligible and enrolled as electors may apply for inclusion in the Electoral Roll by submitting Form 6 along with the prescribed Declaration Form.Centres and Officer Contact Details are available on https://ceo.karnataka.gov.in/vfc/details/
