SBI Agrees to Telangana Government's Alternate Land Proposal in Raidurg Dispute

Hyderabad: After the Telangana govt offered alternate lands to the State Bank of India (SBI) at Future city, Osman Nagar and another plot in Raidurg in lieu of the controversial Raidurg land, the SBI has agreed to take the alternate land proposed by the state govt. Telangana chief secretary K Rama Krishna Rao held a meeting with SBI officials on Saturday and entered into a formal agreement.After Telangana high court granted a stay on disputed Raidurg land, the chief secretary held a meeting with SBI officials on June 22 and informed that the state govt was ready to give alternate land. In continuation of the earlier meeting, Saturday a meeting was held with the SBI, officials said. SBI officials G S Rana, Neelesh Dwivedi and G Poovazhagi participated in the meeting.During the discussions, having visited the locations suggested by the state on June 23 by a team of representatives, SBI has agreed to the alternate proposals put forward by the state govt, the govt said in a statement.SBI officials informed that further action would be taken after obtaining the approval of their Board. Necessary measures in the matter will also be initiated in line with the ongoing court proceedings.After the discussions, SBI and the state govt arrived at an amicable and mutually agreeable solution to the issue. The matter will be concluded expeditiously after completion of the requisite statutory formalities, the state govt said.
