Amritsar: After the Haryana Police registered an FIR over alleged fabrication of a report regarding the controversial video of Bhagwant Mann, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has once again demanded the chief minister’s resignation.In a release issued here on Wednesday, SGPC president Harjinder Singh Dhami said the incident questioned administrative credibility and raised serious concerns about the impartiality and transparency of democratic institutions.Dhami alleged that preparing factually incorrect or misleading reports on any sensitive matter was both legally and ethically wrong.He emphasised that the issue was deeply connected to Sikh sentiments. The Akal Takht conducted an impartial investigation through two accredited laboratories. Instead of admitting his mistake, Bhagwant Mann is attempting to challenge the Akal Takht, the SGPC chief added.Dhami reminded that the Akal Takht was established by the Sixth Guru, and those who confronted it never succeeded.
