Hyderabad: Former minister T Jeevan Reddy on Monday formally joined the Bharat Rashtra Samithi in the presence of party chief K Chandrasekhar Rao, declaring that he had endured “humiliation and mental agony” in the Congress for past 20 months despite serving as a disciplined party worker for over 40 years. Speaking at a public meeting in Jagtial, Jeevan said he was relieved to leave the Congress and pledged to work under KCR’s leadership. “The Congress govt should go, and I will do my best to achieve that goal,” he asserted. Jeevan explained that his decision was driven by what he described as discrimination within the Congress, not personal ambition. “I did not change parties with expectations. I held many positions over four decades, but I joined BRS to free the state from its troubles,” he said. He recalled that KCR had invited him to join the party during the formation of BRS, but he had remained in Congress out of discipline. Now, he said, he was proud to align with the leader who “achieved Telangana as the head of the movement.”tnn
