Four held for gym trainer’s murder in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Bannerghatta police have arrested four persons in connection with the murder of gym trainer Vijay Kumar, 32, whose decomposed body was found in Kaleshwari village near Jigani on June 10.The accused have been identified as Srirama, Sumith, Venkateshaiah, and Babu, all residents of Anekal.Vijay, a native of Mulbagal in Kolar district and a resident of Electronics City, had gone missing on June 8. He had been living separately from his wife and two children for the past two years amid a marital dispute and a dowry harassment case. Police said the four accused are being interrogated to establish the motive and identify others involved in the crime.Meanwhile, Vijay’s family claimed that an influential builder hired killers after Vijay allegedly developed a friendship with the builder’s daughter, a client at his gym. The two had allegedly eloped earlier and were later traced by police. Investigators have largely ruled out Vijay’s marital dispute as the motive.
