Sanskrit Univ launches convocation cleanliness drive

Varanasi: As part of the preparations for the convocation of Sampurnanand Sanskrit University to be held on July 30, a comprehensive special cleanliness drive was launched on Thursday from the historic main building of the university. The drive was led by the university’s vice-chancellor Prof Bihari Lal Sharma with participation from university officials, teachers, employees, and students. Beginning from the main building campus, this drive was conducted across the entire campus of the university. On this occasion, VC Prof Bihari Lal Sharma said that the university is not merely an educational institution, but a living temple of the Indian knowledge tradition and the divine language Sanskrit. The cleanliness of such a sacred campus is not only an administrative duty, but also a cultural and moral responsibility. Highlighting the integrated approach of scripture and science, Prof Sharma said that in Indian scriptures, external and internal purity has been considered an essential value of life.“Shaucha (cleanliness) holds a special place in Yoga, Ayurveda, and the Dharmashastras while modern science also proves that a clean environment is the foundation of health, positive energy, efficiency, and sustainable development,” he said.
