KTR reminds Ponguleti of ‘20L Indiramma houses’ promise

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao dared Telangana housing minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy to stand on his promise that he would seek votes in the next elections only after constructing 20 lakh Indiramma houses. He said half of his term was already over and asked whether he had built 10 lakh houses and of them how many were given to the SC, ST, BCs and minorities.Speaking at the BRS workers meeting at Palair assembly constituency in Khammam district on Wednesday, KTR made several allegations on ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Tummala Nageshwara Rao and deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka. He said that the Congress govt, instead of building new Indiramma houses, has bulldozed hundreds of houses and huts in Velugumatla village.“The BRS govt had removed agriculture land tax for the agricultural lands. Now the Congress govt is planning to reintroduce the tax,” he said.KTR added that the BRS govt had spent every single rupee it borrowed on development of projects and welfare, and alleged the Congress govt used the amount for scams.
