Hyderabad: Jeh Aerospace has signed a multi-year, multi-million-dollar agreement with US-based Solestra Group and opened a dedicated global manufacturing facility for aero engine and aircraft systems applications for Solestra at Jeh’s Hyderabad facility. The new Hyderabad centre will operate as an extension of Solestra’s North American shops, with machines, floor space and workers assigned exclusively to Solestra programmes, while Solestra remains the single accountable interface for customers, the two companies said on Wednesday. The companies said the model is intended to expand capacity, speed new product introduction and industrialisation, lower costs and preserve digital-thread transparency and intellectual property protections.Solestra CEO Joe DeMartino and vice president and general manager Rocky Barnhart visited the site for the signing and inauguration.DeMartino said the partnership would help Solestra support larger, more complex programmes while allowing its North American operations to focus on advanced manufacturing, assembly and customer engagement. Sanghavi said the model was built to improve supply-chain resilience beyond transactional outsourcing.Jeh said its founders, Vishal Sanghavi and Venkatesh Mudragalla, developed the approach after spending two decades establishing and leading India joint ventures for major aerospace manufacturers. The two companies said the global manufacturing centre offers benefits similar to a joint venture without governance, ownership or exit complexities. The Solestra GMC adds high-precision mechanical systems to Jeh’s aero-engine and aerostructure work. Solestra is a precision manufacturing provider serving aerospace, defence, medical and high-precision markets, operates six specialised businesses across North America. US- and Hyderabad-headquartered Jeh manufactures aerospace and defence components, tools and assemblies in Hyderabad using software-defined production.
