Ahmedabad: There is no respite from the incessant heat for the citizens for the next few days, indicated India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast. On Tuesday, the maximum temperature was 40.6 degrees celsius, which was 2.4 degrees higher than normal. At 29°C, the minimum temperature, too, was 1.6 degrees higher than normal.The city experienced partially cloudy weather with late evening breeze in several areas.According to IMD forecast, the maximum temperature on Wednesday is likely to be around 41°C. On Tuesday, the relative humidity (RH) was 62% at 8.30 am and 32% at 5.30 pm. State forecast indicated no major change for the next seven days in maximum temperatures. Some parts of South Gujarat may experience light to moderate rains for the next two days, according to the forecast.Only three cities and towns recorded above 40°C temperatures including VV Nagar (40.7°C), Ahmedabad (40.6°C), and Bhavnagar (40.2°C).
