TVK leader Vijay warns cadre of ‘diversion tactics’

Chennai: TVK president Joseph Vijay on Saturday alleged that efforts were underway to confuse people through various means during the election period. In a post on X, he said such attempts were not new but that it was the cadres’ duty to remain alert. He accused the DMK govt of using officials to interfere with his party’s campaign process. “The DMK govt is using certain officials under its control to create pressure and obstacles, not just for us but also for our candidates,” he said.He cited delays in granting permissions and last-minute cancellations affecting campaign plans. “They delay permissions until the last moment, preventing us from making arrangements. They cancel approvals for TVK’s campaign events at the last minute and spread misleading reports in the media about permissions and cancellations to confuse the public.”Vijay said the party’s outreach was not limited to conventional methods. “Across Tamil Nadu, people themselves are voluntarily carrying out campaigning in support of TVK, turning it into a mass movement in every household,” he said. “People are preparing for a silent revolution,” he said. Addressing supporters, he urged vigilance and restraint. “Let us stay alert and not trust these actors,” he said.
