Dispute over children plucking maize leaves 3 injured

Tarn Taran: A minor dispute over children picking maize (corn cobs) from a neighbour’s field escalated into a violent clash in Thathian village, leaving three people injured.According to police sources, the confrontation erupted between the families of Shamsher Singh and Kashmir Singh. Although Shamsher had reportedly apologised on behalf of his children for accidentally breaking a few corn cobs, the field owners, Kashmir and Hasham Singh, remained aggrieved. Once again a clash erupted between them in which both parties sustained injuries.SSP, Tarn Taran, Surendra Lamba, said the police have registered an FIR against both parties and have begun investigations into the incident to ensure strict legal action.
