Ludhiana: A local shoe trader has been booked for second time after allegedly posting objectionable and insulting content on social media targeting his wife and her family. This incident follows a previous case where he was booked for allegedly morphing pictures of his wife’s minor niece amid an ongoing family dispute.The police have registered a fresh FIR against the accused under Sections 74 and 79 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. He also faces charges under Sections 67 and 67(A) of the Information Technology Act.According to the complaint filed by the accused’s brother-in-law, the marital dispute led to his sister leaving the trader to live at her parental home. Since then, the accused has been continuously harassing the family, eventually uploading abusive content against his wife and mother-in-law on his social media account.The complainant further stated that the trader went as far as uploading his own picture on social media, morphing it in an insulting manner to target the family. The accused has not been arrested yet.
