CHENNAI: Former Greater Chennai Corporation commissioner J Kumaragurubaran has been posted as secretary to govt, commercial taxes, registration and religious endowments department, as the Tamil Nadu govt on Friday reshuffled several IAS officers.Kumaragurubaran replaces Shilpa Prabhakar Satish, who has now been posted as commissioner of labour. Dr S Swarna has been redesignated as principal secretary, tourism, culture and special initiatives department.In another key posting, Dr D Karthikeyan, formerly principal secretary to govt, municipal administration and water supply department, has been placed at the disposal of Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO) for appointment as its principal secretary-chairman and managing director.The govt transferred Sandhya Venugopal Sharma, additional chief secretary and chairperson of TIDCO, as additional chief secretary to planning and development department. Sandeep Nanduri, managing director of TIDCO, was posted as special secretary to industries, investment promotion and commerce department.Among other changes, G Prakash, formerly member secretary of Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority, was posted as principal secretary/additional commissioner of revenue administration in the commissionerate of revenue administration and disaster management.Kiran Gurrala, commissioner of transport and road safety, was transferred and posted as commissioner of town and country planning, while D Baskara Pandian was posted as director of transport and road safety.Dr K Vijayakarthikeyan, returning from leave, was posted as director of fisheries and will also function as managing director of Tamil Nadu Fisheries Development Corporation.The govt also posted Asha Ajith as director of environment and climate change, T Christuraj as director of survey and settlement, and T Charusree as director of treasuries and accounts. Dr T G Vinay, formerly managing director of Chennai Metro Water, has been posted as managing director of Tamil Nadu Green Energy Corporation while Dr S Aneesh Sekhar has been appointed as mission director of the National Health Mission.
