Chennai: A six-year-old boy, playing with his friends, fell off the terrace of a house and died in Lakshmipuram near Puzhal on Friday evening. Police said Rakshan, 6, son of Packiaraj, 35, a plumber, was a Class II student at a nearby school. They said the terrace had an inadequately built retaining structure, a parapet, and a portion of the wall collapsed while the children were running and playing. Rakshan lost balance and fell from the terrace along with the collapsed section of the structure, sustaining severe injuries. Puzhal police recovered the body and registered a case. TNN
