Noida: Two men were arrested after a minor road dispute at a residential society in Greater Noida West escalated into a mob assault on a family. Charges under the Pocso Act were added after CCTV footage showed a minor girl being shoved by the attackers.According to additional DCP (Central Noida) Swatantra Singh, the incident occurred on Sunday evening at a society in Chipiyana Buzurg in Bisrakh when the complainant Avdhesh Kumar accidentally clipped the scooter of his neighbour, Akash Sharma, while heading out. There was a heated argument between the two, but they were eventually separated by their families. Shortly after, Sharma returned with a group of men and attacked Kumar at his home.Videos circulated on social media showed around a dozen men punching Kumar, beating him with sticks, dragging him across the society compound and pushing him to the ground, leaving him bloodied. A woman and a girl, believed to be Kumar’s wife and daughter, are seen attempting to shield him. The minor is visibly pushed and shoved by the crowd.Bisrakh police initially registered complaints from both parties and detained four persons, two from each side, under Section 170 (arrest to prevent commission of cognizable offences) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).When the videos surfaced on Monday showing the child being attacked, additional charges under the BNS Section 110 (attempt to commit culpable homicide) and the Pocso Act were added. Two persons were arrested in connection with those charges. Further investigation is underway, additional DCP Singh said.
