Gurgaon: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday announced the Class 10 results, with several students from the Gurgaon region delivering exceptional performances, some even achieving a perfect score of 100%.Among the high scorers was Tanay Srivastava, a student of Amity School, Sector 46, who secured a perfect 100%. Riddhima Gupta of the same school and Anjali Agrawal from DAV Public School, Sector 14, scored 99.8% each. While CBSE does not release an official list of toppers, schools publish their own lists.The overall pass percentage in the Gurgaon region — which spans 12 districts, including Faridabad, Gurgaon, Palwal and Sonipat — stood at 93.2%. Of the 1,09,197 students who appeared for the examination, 1,01,783 cleared it.CBSE Gurgaon regional office was established in 2025; earlier, the southern districts fell under the jurisdiction of the Panchkula regional office.Of the 44,688 girls who appeared in the region, 42,575 passed, registering a pass percentage of 95.3%. In comparison, 64,509 boys appeared, of whom 59,208 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of about 91.8%.In Haryana, 1,77,549 students — 72,969 girls and 1,04,580 boys — appeared for the Class 10 examinations. Of these, 1,63,849 passed, taking the overall state pass percentage to approximately 92.2%, compared to 92.3% in 2025.Among girls, 69,141 out of 72,969 cleared the exam (94.8%), while 94,708 out of 1,04,580 boys passed, yielding a pass percentage of around 90.6%.Meanwhile, Delhi surpassed the national average pass percentage of 93.7% this year, recording 97.2%, up from 95.1% in 2025.In the Noida region — comprising 18 districts, including Gautam Budh Nagar and Ghaziabad — the overall pass percentage stood at 87.66%, compared to 89.41% in 2025 and 90.97% in 2024. Despite the decline, the region saw strong individual performances and maintained a robust overall success rate, with at least one candidate achieving a perfect score.Alongside the results, CBSE also announced the schedule and guidelines for the Class 10 second board examination for students seeking to improve their scores.As per the notification, submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) will begin after the declaration of results. The first phase of examination fee payment is scheduled from April 16 to April 20, during which LOC submission and fee payment will take place simultaneously. A third phase, with late fees, will be conducted from April 21 to April 22.“Candidates who wish to appear in the Second Board Examination, but whose names were not submitted during the First Phase of LOC, may now submit their names and pay the examination fee. Candidates whose names were submitted during the First Phase may now pay the examination fee. Candidates who submitted their names earlier but do not wish to appear in the Second Examination may withdraw their names. Candidates may also change Mathematics option in the Second Board Examination. Students who offered Mathematics (Standard) in the Main Examination may opt for Mathematics (Basic) in the Second Examination,” read the official notification by the board on the result day.
