Factory worker ends life over relationship distress

Bengaluru: A 28-year-old garment factory worker allegedly died by suicide at his residence in Srigandhanagar in north Bengaluru after reportedly being distressed over the breakdown of a live-in relationship.The deceased, Tippeswamy, was a native of Chitradurga, police said. Based on a complaint filed by his parents, police registered a case of abetment to suicide against a woman.Police said the woman, a resident of Davanagere, is married and has two children. She reportedly met Tippeswamy through social media and the two moved to Bengaluru last year, where they rented a house in Srigandhanagar while working in a garment factory.Investigators said the woman returned to Davanagere around two weeks ago following differences between them. “Tippeswamy was reportedly depressed after she left.
