Gurgaon: Two motorcyclists died after being hit by an unidentified vehicle near Pataudi Bypass around 8pm on Monday. While police have registered an accident case, the kin of the deceased on Tuesday refused to get the autopsy done, suspecting murder.Puneet (20), alias Prince and his uncle Puran (29), both residents of ward no 13 in Pataudi, were returning home from work when the incident occurred around 8 pm. The duo worked as electricians at a warehouse in Uncha Majra. The accident left the duo bleeding profusely, with severe head injuries. Cops and family members rushed them to the community health centre in Pataudi, where doctors declared them dead.Talking to TOI, Puneet’s father, Lakhanpal, said that he received a threat call from a relative of gangster Krishan Rampuria a day before the accident on May 3. Krishan has 15 cases registered against him, including murder, Arms Act and robbery, and is currently lodged in Bhondsi jail.“Krishan’s brother had called me on May 3. He threatened to kill my son, following which I asked him not to escalate an old matter further. The next day, we received a call from the police informing us of Puneet’s death,” he said.He alleged that the bike did not get any scratches at all, but Puneet and Puran sustained fatal injuries that did not seem to be caused by falling from their bike, hence pointing towards a pre-planned murder. The family has named two more suspects in the case, claiming that they also accompanied the victims but eventually escaped the spot after their deaths. Puneet’s uncle claimed that both the victims were accompanied by two more local villagers riding the same bike, but they fled the scene.“The other two accompanying them also sustained injuries, but they went home, leaving our children at the spot. Later, we informed the police about them, and they then visited their house and found that they also suffered injuries and were taken for treatment. Something is definitely fishy here, and it is not an accident,” Puneet’s uncle, Heeralal, told TOI.A case under sections 106 (causing death due to negligence) and 281 (rash driving) has been registered at Pataudi police station.Police said preliminary investigation suggests that an unknown vehicle, driven at high speed, hit the motorcycle and escaped. Footwear belonging to the victims was found scattered at the accident site, indicating the impact of the collision.
