Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Sunday said just as the ‘Vanara Sena’ assisted Lord Ram in defeating Ravana, Congress’ own Vanara Sena is now fighting to defeat Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his govt, and they will not rest until victory is achieved. He warned that the protest undertaken by Congress workers at Ramlila Maidan would inevitably lead to the ousting of Narendra Modi from power, forcing him to return to Gujarat. The CM urged party workers to take the message delivered by the leaders of the INDIA Bloc at Ramlila Maidan to every village and household.Addressing Congress workers along with TPCC president B Mahesh Kumar Goud at Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi ahead of the ‘Vote Bachao, Desh Bachao’ (Save the Vote, Save the Country) rally at Ramlila Maidan, Revanth alleged that Modi developed a grudge against the poor, Dalits, Adivasis and women for not giving a mandate of 400 seats to BJP in the 2024 elections. Now, the PM was attempting to strip them of their voting rights, he alleged.Already 13.50 crore votes have already been deleted, and there was an attempt to remove another 20 crore votes. “A conspiracy is underway to eliminate votes guaranteed by BR Ambedkar. The conspiracy is to delete 15 to 20% of the total votes. BJP came to power in Bihar, Maharashtra, and West Bengal by systematically deleting votes, and is now conspiring to return to power at the Centre using the same tactic,” Revanth alleged.Revanth alleged that PM Narendra Modi, who rose to power twice by dividing the people along caste and religious lines, had intended to amend the Constitution, abolish reservations, and disenfranchise Dalits, Adivasis and women had the BJP coalition secured over 400 seats in the 2024 elections. The CM mentioned that Rahul Gandhi decided to hold a massive public meeting at Ramlila Maidan, under the aegis of Congress and the INDIA alliance, to counter the conspiracy to remove the names of voters.Revanth criticised PM Modi, alleging that he was attempting to disenfranchise citizens by misusing chief election commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar as a tool to facilitate this move.Revanth lashed out, stating that although trains were arranged to transport 15,000 people from Telangana to the event, they were cancelled at the last minute, despite prior assurances, in an attempt to prevent the party workers from attending the rally. He added that, undeterred, thousands of Congress leaders and workers still reached Delhi. Modi, Union home minister Amit Shah, and Gyanesh Kumar could not break their resolve. The CM asserted that the three were ultimately forced to bow before the strength and the voice of Telangana.
