Mangaluru: BJP Dakshina Kannada district president Sathish Kumpala condemned AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge’s statement against Prime Minister Modi, saying it reflected the Congress mindset, and demanded an apology.Expressing outrage over the words used by the Congress national president regarding the Prime Minister during an event in Patna, Bihar, Kumpala said they represented the height of desperation and reflected Congress party’s mindset. He said such behaviour was unacceptable from someone with long-standing experience holding major responsibilities in public life.“Such remarks from Congress leaders, who are restless without power, are leading to their downfall. Their sense that ruling the country is their exclusive right bears testimony to their arrogant attitude,” he said and demanded that Kharge apologise for his remarks against the Prime Minister, who works day and night to keep the country on the path of development while upholding its honour.Mangaluru City South MLA Vedavyas Kamath said the Congress party and its leaders, having failed to win the trust of the nation’s people, reveal their desperation through the language they use. He added that Mallikarjun Kharge’s language reflects his own personality and does not diminish the Prime Minister’s dignity in the slightest.“A senior leader like Kharge, with extensive political experience, should speak with an awareness of his responsibility rather than belittling himself publicly through such statements,” he added.
