New Delhi: A 28-year-old man died while another was seriously injured after their scooter was hit by a speeding truck near Kalkaji flyover Thursday. The scooter was found at the site in a dilapidated condition, police said.The deceased, Aditya Kumar, a native of Bihar, was travelling with Raju Yadav at 2 am on a black electric scooter when the accident occurred. After a PCR call, police found the two men with severe injuries on the side of the road. They were taken to AIIMS Trauma Centre, where doctors declared Kumar dead. Yadav is currently undergoing treatment.Police found no eyewitnesses to the accident; the scooter has been seized.An FIR was registered under relevant sections, including those related to rash and negligent driving, of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita against the bus driver. CCTV footage of surrounding areas is being analysed to identify and apprehend the accused.Further investigation is under way.
