Indiramma housing phase-II soon, bid to fix issues: Min

Hyderabad: Revenue and housing minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Sunday said Indiramma housing scheme’s second phase will be implemented soon and that the state govt is making all efforts to resolve issues pertaining to sada bainama, prohibited land lists and land records. Participating in ‘praja darbar’ at Kusumanchi of Khammam district, the minister said that a majority of applications being submitted by the people during these interactions were for Indiramma houses. “Such a huge demand for Indiramma houses is due to the failure of the previous BRS govt to honour its promise of giving 2-BHK houses to the poor. The previous BRS govt betrayed the people on the housing front,” he added. Stating that the Congress govt was directly depositing financial assistance into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries of the Indiramma housing, the minister said the govt was releasing money every Monday to ensure that the first phase of housing scheme was completed on a fast track.“The Congress govt is implementing the promises made in the farmers’ declaration released as part of the party’s election campaign by Rahul Gandhi. Paddy and maize crops are being procured at minimum support price, waived crop loans of 2 lakh for 25 lakh farmers, 500 bonus is being paid for fine paddy,” he said.tnn
